  • Someone may have booked a time to utilize the Recovery Suite or are waiting in the Lobby until their designated time. Do not be alarmed if you hear noises coming from the recovery space. Some people get very expressive when using the cold plunge.

Drip

  • An infrared sauna heats your body through light waves to penetrate tissues, sore muscles and aching joints. By promoting a deep sweat at a cellular level, the benefits of opening your skin to breathe includes:

    -Detoxification

    -Recover from workouts faster.

-Boost in Immunity, Energy and Healing

    -Improvement in Circulation

    -Anti-Aging

  • To allow the infrared to activate the sweat glands, we recommend wearing as little as possible. Swimsuits or your pole wear are the perfect options.

  • Similar to pole training, the more you do it, the better the results. Recommended use is 3-4 times per week for 30-40 minute sessions. Please hydrate before, during, and after your sweat session.

Dip

  • A cold plunge or cold water immersion is a practice of submerging yourself in crisp, frosty water to refresh, invigorate and aid in the recovery from muscle soreness. Our Arctic Cold Tub is an industry leading cold plunge bathing solution that features:

    - HIGH-POWERED FLOW RATE

This is the amount of water that moves through the tub, which will affect the cold therapy experience. With an Arctic Cold Tub, you will feel the rush of cold water breaking through your body’s thermal barrier to give you an unparalleled boost in your recovery. A high flow rate also helps to ensure the water is always fresh, clean, and clear.

    - 3-STAGE WATER CLEANING PROCESS

The design process turns water over every 3-5 minutes; UV Ozone Sanitation oxidizes and breaks down contaminants and helps to maintain water quality; 20-micron Filtration pulls out hair, skin and other debris from the water

    - HEAVY-DUTY CHILLER SYSTEM

A chiller system pumps water out, cools it with the chiller, and then pumps it back in. Arctic Cold Tubs features a commercial-grade titanium heat exchanger, Japanese compressor, and heavy-duty galvanized steel housing, which will circulate the water to pull heat away from the body faster than stagnant water, to give a highly efficient and reliable cold plunge.

To ensure the cleanliness of our equipment, we do a thorough wipe down of the tub daily and clean/remove any hair and debris out of the drain strainers. Additionally, we maintain the Arctic Tub weekly by testing the water with test strips and adjust chemicals as needed; sanitizing with a bromine-free and chlorine-free liquid sanitizer for bacteria control.

  • Every experience is different for every body, and with time and practice, you’ll come to find your own. This is how we are personally using the Recovery Suite:

HEAT: 30-minutes in the infrared sauna

COLD: 3 - 7 minutes plunge in the Arctic Tub

PAUSE: Get dressed and let your body rest and ease back into balance. Chill in the lobby before going about your day.

  • Reservations for the recovery space must be made online or via the SOMA app. A flat one-hour session can only be booked per day. “Drip and Dip” single sessions, packages and memberships are available for purchase here. It is up to you how you wish to utilize your time in the recovery room. Please be mindful of your booking time as to be courteous to the appointment who has reserved the time after you. Towels are provided. Please bring a swimsuit, a clean body and an open mind.
